Derrick presently has teaching appointments at two prestigious Georgia institutions.
At Georgia State University College of Law, Derrick teaches a Legislative Drafting Seminar and a course on Race, Ethnicity, and the Law where he is presently writing a textbook.
He teaches The Legal Environment of Business and Healthcare Administration and Regulations at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, and Workplace Law at the College of Professional Advancement at the Atlanta campus of Mercer University.
